So these hand made pompom letters are probably one of my favorites. You can create any letter you’d like, and use any colors you’d like. I decided to do an M and an A for mine and my daughter’s names. The cost is minimal; $1 for the pompoms I found at the dollar store, and all the other supplies were already on hand. Colorful Hand Made PomPom Letters

What you’ll need for your handmade pompom letters:

  • A piece of cardboard big or small enough for the size of your letter to be cut out of
  • Pompom balls – I found these at the dollar store! You can find them in the craft aisle at most stores or right here – https://amzn.to/2RaWd7Q
  • Hot glue gun – or any glue that is going to be tacky enough – I prefer my mini hot glue gun for everything – https://amzn.to/3fkBNRw
  • Marker
  • Scissors

Step one:
This first step is pretty simple, but is also crucial – deciding what letter to use. Are you going to use the first letter of your name? Or how about the first letter of your pet’s name?? It could be considered a difficult decision by some. Anyway, use your marker to draw out the letter you’d like and make it as big or small as you please. Just keep in mind, the bigger your letter is, the more pompoms you’ll need.

Step two:
Cut your cardboard letters out. These will be the base for your pompom letters. Take your time and be easy with the scissors and the crafting knife. Cardboard can be tricky to cut. On a very serious note, always keep the knife and scissors out of reach of any little ones who may be running around. If the letter isn’t perfect around the edges, that’s okay! The colorful pompoms will cover that up!

Step three:
Use your glue gun or tacky glue to lay down plenty of glue. You don’t want those little pompom puppies going anywhere! Make sure to glue close enough to the edge so you’ll have some hang over. This will help hide the cardboard back/
