Things you’ll need for your Scrap paper DIY starburst wreaths and where to find them:

Scrap Paper DIY

Step one: Setting up

The first thing you’ll want to do is cut the center out of your paper plate. Most paper plates have a circle stamped around the inside that is a helpful guide for where to cut. When you cut the center out of your paper plate, you want to leave about two inches of the outside. This will make for plenty of room to glue your beautiful paper strips on to.

Step two: Getting colorful with it

Here we start to cut the colored paper in to strips. Choose any color you’d like. The strips here are about half an inch wide, and then some have been cut to about two inches long, and others have been cut to about three inches long. I’ve made sure to cut all of them long enough to cover the width of our paper plate ring.

Step three: Start that beautiful Starburst Wreath!

Use that glue! Plenty of glue will do the trick. Lay the glue down and then lay your paper strips down in any pattern you choose or lay them down randomly. My daughter and I found some nice shiny gold cardstock to add to our starburst wreath as well.

Step four:

Here we’ve made sure to cover the leftover white spots and add plenty of extra layers of color!

Step five: Finishing up your Scrap Paper DIY!

After you’ve let your starburst wreath dry you can tape or glue string to the back of your wreath so you can hang it up and show it to the world!
