Step one: Making the pom poms
To make the pom poms, there is a super easy how-to right here: https://tengemsdiy.com/how-to-make-a-pom-pom/
For this 8″ wire wreath, I made a total of 17 pom poms, but you may need more or less for yours. After you’re done making them, you’re all set for the next step!
Step two: Deciding how to lay out your pom poms
Before I ever glue anything, I always do a trial first. Lay your wire wreath base down and lay your finished pom poms down randomly or in any fun pattern you would like to see. Doing this before gluing gives you the opportunity to make changes, adjust and to make sure you like the way it looks before committing to adhesives.
Step three: Getting gluey
It’s always a good idea to set down some scrap paper before getting the glue out, just if you want to protect your work surface. Put some hot glue on to the wire wreath base where you’d like your first pom pom to go, and move on from there. After you’ve glued your pom poms to the base, for extra stability, add some glue in between the pom poms and gently squeeze them together.
And that is How to Make a Pom Pom Wreath! Your DIY is beautiful and it’s time to hang that baby up!
