Supplies you’ll need for your yarn spider web craft for kids and where to pick them up:

Step one: Making all the holes

This first step can be done by little ones if they are a little older and have the grip strength for the hole punch. Otherwise, it might just be easier for a grown up to help. Use your hole punch to make holes all the way around the paper plate. Be sure to space them out half an inch to an inch apart. You don’t want too much or too little space in between the holes.

Step two: How much yarn is enough?

For my little creators, I roughly cut three arms lengths of yarn. This should be plenty to occupy them for a while and fill in their spider web well. If they want more yarn, you can always Cut more!

Step three: Getting started on your spider web crafts for kids

Tie one end of the yarn to the plate and let the young crafter have the other end of the yarn. Show them how to weave the yarn in to the hole and back through to the front from the hole next to it (this will save yarn so the kids aren’t weaving on to the back of the plate).

Step four: Weaving the little web

Let the young ones have at it and weave their spooky spider web craft for kids!

When all the yarn is used up and the web has been woven, tie off the yarn to secure it. Let the artist pick out a nice plastic spider to put in to its new home! Hang up the spider web crafts for kids for everyone to see and admire this season! Your project turned out so creepy and fantastic!
